On Tuesday, Iowa Athletics announced an expanded partnership with Progressive Insurance through Iowa's agreement with Learfield.

The collaboration brings the Progressive brand to the game day experience with on-field branding inside Kinnick Stadium, where verbiage will appear on the white sideline apron between the 20-yard line and the end zone at all four corners of Duke Slater Field.

“We’re excited to welcome Progressive Insurance to an even greater presence within the Hawkeye game day experience,” said Matt Henderson, Iowa's deputy director of athletics. "Their expanded investment reflects the value and national visibility of Iowa Athletics, while creating new opportunities to engage our fans in meaningful ways throughout the football season. Partnerships like this help us continue delivering a first-class atmosphere at Kinnick Stadium and strengthen the connection between leading brands and our passionate fan base.”

Progressive's Media Business Leader Sean Freeman reflected on the expanded investment in Iowa Athletics in Tuesday's release.

“College football is about more than what happens on game day–it reflects the pride, tradition and community that defines Iowa and we’re proud to support the student-athletes, alumni and fans who help make this program so special,” Freeman said. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of game days with this historic fan base.”

As a sponsor, Progressive’s national presence will be complemented by in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other game day experiences designed to engage fans before kickoff, throughout the game and beyond the final whistle.

The Learfield-led collaboration with Progressive Insurance also includes 12 other programs across the country: Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.

“We are thrilled to welcome Progressive to Kinnick Stadium and look forward to the start of a great partnership. Saturdays in Kinnick are special and I’m happy they are going to be a part of it,” said Gabe Aguirre, Vice President and General Manager of Hawkeye Sports Properties.

Progressive's branding and integrated marketing elements will debut with the start of the 2026 college football season when the Hawkeyes host Northern Illinois for a 3:15 p.m. CT kickoff on Sept. 5 at Kinnick Stadium.
