Iowa football at Michigan kickoff time, TV channel announced

Iowa announced on Monday that its Sept. 26 date at Michigan will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast by CBS.

The Hawkeyes' trip to the Big House is both teams' Big Ten opener. Iowa hosts Northern Iowa this Saturday at Kinnick Stadium, while Michigan hosts UTEP from Michigan Stadium before the two link up the following weekend to begin conference play.

Iowa last traveled to Ann Arbor, Mich., during the 2019 season. The Hawkeyes dropped that contest, 10-3. Michigan scored the game's first 10 points that day and then held on thanks to its defense. Iowa had four turnovers in that defeat, including three interceptions by quarterback Nate Stanley.

The Hawkeyes have lost the past four against Michigan, including twice in the Big Ten championship game in 2021 and in 2023. Iowa's last win over the Wolverines was on Nov. 12, 2016.

Hawkeye quarterback C.J. Beathard passed for just 66 yards and one touchdown, but Akrum Wadley totaled 115 rushing yards and Keith Duncan hit a game-winning, 33-yard field goal as time expired to down then-No. 3 Michigan, 14-13.

Iowa trails the all-time series, 15-45-4.
