Iowa football lands commitment from 2026 in-state TE Luke Brewer

Iowa football landed a big in-state commitment to its 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday evening.
Four-star tight end Luke Brewer revealed his pledge to the Hawkeyes on Wednesday. Brewer chose Iowa over finalists Miami, Tennessee and Iowa State. Originally a 2027 recruit, Brewer reclassified to the 2026 class in September.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end visited Iowa’s Oct. 18 win over Penn State. Brewer joins quarterback Tradon Bessinger as the latest commits to Iowa’s 2026 class.

Brewer is a four-star in the 247Sports composite rankings, where he checks in as the nation’s 415th-ranked player nationally, as the No. 20 tight end and as the No. 6 player from Iowa. The Norwalk High School product is ranked as a three-star commit, as the No. 28 tight end and as the No. 7 player in the state of Iowa in the 2026 class, per Rivals.
