The 2025 college football regular season is over, and the Iowa Hawkeyes have ended the year essentially where they began. Iowa is right on the cusp of being ranked, or just inside the polls, depending on the outlet.
In the final AP Top 25 rankings, the Iowa Hawkeyes are the second team out of the poll, trailing only Houston in the category of teams receiving votes.
Iowa was flirting with being ranked for most of the year and would get close, but saw heartbreakingly close losses to Indiana, Oregon, and USC keep them just outside of the cut line.
The final AP rankings of the 2025 regular season see the Big Ten still holding the top spot, but with a new contender. The Indiana Hoosiers (13-0) took down the Ohio State Buckeyes (12-1) in the Big Ten Championship and took over the top spot in the polls. Ohio State slid to No. 3, while the Georgia Bulldogs (12-1), the SEC champs, are sandwiched in between the Big Ten's best at No. 2.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, this week's AP Poll sees Oregon at No. 5, USC at No. 16, and Michigan at No. 18.
