LSU football QB Sam Leavitt wasn't included on Friday's injury report, signaling he's ready to play vs. Ole Miss on Saturday. Leavitt was listed as doubtful on Wednesday's initial injury report, then upgraded to questionable on Thursday. Leavitt's absence from the latest injury report should quiet any concerns ahead of a top-10-ranked SEC matchup.

Through two games, Leavitt has thrown for 574 yards and two touchdowns and scored five touchdowns on the ground. According to PFF, Leavitt has earned an 88.7 PFF grade so far.

Leavitt's arm is top-tier, and his speed makes him tough to tackle. Leavitt has 169 rushing yards, adjusted for sack yardage. 119 of those yards came in LSU's Week 1 win over Clemson.

LSU signed Leavitt as the top-ranked quarterback in the transfer portal. He was the headline piece of Lane Kiffin's offseason rebuild in Baton Rouge. Heading into a top-10 game without Leavitt would have been a significant loss for LSU.

The Ole Miss offense can score a lot of points, with Trinidad Chambliss leading the way. If this becomes a shootout, LSU needs Leavitt to keep up.
