University of Louisville junior running back Isaac Brown was named to the watch list for the 90^th Maxwell Award announced on Monday by the Maxwell Football Club.

Brown is one of 81 players on the watch list for the award presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football.

The Louisville running back has been one of the most dynamic players in college football each of the last two seasons.

In his first two years with the Cards, Brown has rushed for 2,057 yards in just 22 games, averaging 7.7 yards per carry with 18 touchdowns. The junior has 11 100-yard rushing performances, including six in nine games played last season.

Despite playing in just nine games last fall, Brown still led the country with six rushes of 50 yards or more.

The Maxwell Award has been presented to the College Player of the Year since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert “Tiny” Maxwell who was a former standout at Swarthmore College and a renowned sportswriter and football official.

The winner of the 90th Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 10, 2026. The formal presentations of the Maxwell Award will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards on Saturday March 13, 2027, at the Coca Cola Roxy Theater in Atlanta, Georgia.
