They have won at Delaware State University’s Alumni Stadium.
They have won at Delaware Stadium.
They have won at Dover High, during the pandemic season of 2020.
They have won at the new Abessinio Stadium – last year.
A total of 24 teams have won DIAA football championships over the previous 10 years. Those titles were earned at four different venues, but they all have one joyous thing in common.
Every one of them gathered together after the final buzzer and hoisted the Delaware-shaped trophy that signifies you were the best in your class or division for that season.
The best of 2025 will be determined Nov. 28-29 at Alumni Stadium.
Middletown will take on Salesianum in the Class 3A championship game at 7 p.m. Nov. 28. Indian River will meet Red Lion Christian for the Class 2A title at noon Nov. 29. And Newark Charter, playing its first varsity season of football, will try to take it all the way against Seaford in the Class 1A final at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 29.
