Jacksonville State football signs 25 during early signing period

Jacksonville State football welcomed 25 new signees during the early signing period on Wednesday.

The Gamecocks announced the class, but coach Charles Kelly told media the Gamecocks could add more players during the rest of the period or during the February signing period.

Of the 25 signees, 10 come from the state Alabama, including two Calhoun County signees in Rollie Pinto of Piedmont, and Noah Lee of Jacksonville Christian Academy. Gadsden City’s Ty Sims flipped his commitment to the Gamecocks as well.

Javan Allison, Defensive Back

Miami Norland HS (Miami, Fla)

Allison had 56 tackles and an interception during his senior season. He is a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports.

Mario Alloway, Linebacker

Choctawhatchee HS (Fort Walton Beach, Fla.)

Alloway had 11 sacks and 16 tackles for a loss as a senior.

Tim Anthony, Defensive Back

Shiloh HS (Decatur, Ga.)

Anthony allowed just one catch on 11 targets during his senior season, with one interception and 52 tackles.

Kendarius Blair, Offensive Lineman

Parker HS (Birmingham, Ala.)

Blair is a three-star lineman, projected to play inside by 247Sports. He helped lead Parker to a state title in 2024.

Austin Bouck, Linebacker

Fort Walton Beach HS (Destin, Fla)

Bouck had 58 tackles with 24 for a loss and eight sacks as a senior. He is a three-star edge rusher and held offers from Army and Navy.

Will Cooper, Offensive Lineman

Fairhope HS (Fairhope, Ala.)

Cooper is a three-star lineman and helped lead Fairhope to the quarterfinals as a senior.

Brennan Core, Athlete

Central-Phenix City HS (Phenix City, Ala.)

Core helped lead the Red Devils to the semifinals as a senior and to the state title game as a junior. He had 56 tackles and two interceptions as a senior.

Kyten Davis, Defensive Lineman

Columbia HS (Lake City, Fla.)

Davis had 53 tackles with 10 for a loss and six sacks as a senior.

Immuri “Vern” Faulk, Offensive Lineman

Taylor County HS (Perry, Fla.)

Faulk is a three-star prospect and helped pave the way for an offense that scored 33 points per game.

Cade Frier, Wide Receiver

Chiles HS (Tallahassee, Fla.)

Frier had 1,023 yards as a senior and is a three-star prospect.

Shondell Harris, Defensive Back

Mary G. Montgomery (Mobile, Ala.)

Harris is a three-star prospect and held Arkansas and Georgia Tech offers. He had 45 tackles including eight for a loss as a senior, earning AHSAA North-South All-Star honors.

William Hathcock, Offensive Lineman

Taylor County HS (Perry, Fla.)

Hathcock is a three-star prospect and held an NC State offer. He helped lead an offense that racked up 368 yards per game.

Malik Henderson, Wide Receiver

Chipley HS (Graceville, Fla.)

Henderson had 558 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.

Rodarion Jones, Defensive Back

North Florida Christian (Albany, Ga.)

Jones is a three-star recruit and had 31 tackles with five pass breakups. He held offers from Miami, Florida and Oklahoma.

Cedric Kouemi, Running Back

The Bullis School (Gaithersburg, Md.)

Kouemi is a three-star prospect who ran for 1,300 yards at Quince Orchard as a junior.

Noah Lee, Quarterback

Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Ala.)

The hometown kid of the class, Lee played eight-man football, throwing for more than 3,000 yards and 45 touchdowns as a junior. He is a three-star recruit.

Tristan Lyles, Linebacker

Central-Phenix City (Phenix City, Ala.)

Lyles had 84 tackles with 32 for a loss and 20 sacks. He is a three-star recruit with offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky and more.

Brayden Matthews, Linebacker

MaEachern HS (Smyrna, Ga.)

Matthews earned all-region honors as senior.

Jameson McCullough, Linebacker

Hillgrove HS (Powder Springs, Ga.)

McCullough had 66 tackles with 21 for a loss as a senior.

Donovan Moorhead, Quarterback

Hawken School (Akron, Ohio)

Moorhead threw for 3,004 yards and 37 touchdowns as senior. He is a three-star prospect.

Devin Pettway, Linebacker

Mary G. Montgomery (Mobile, Ala.)

Pettway had 43 tackles with five for a loss and is a three-star prospect.

Rollie Pinto, Wide Receiver

Piedmont HS (Piedmont, Ala.)

Pinto had 1,007 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns with 1,898 total yards and more than 25 touchdowns as a senior. He is a three-star prospect.

Tre’Von Pringle, Defensive Back

Thomas County Central HS (Thomasville, Ga.)

Pringle is a three-star prospect and had 15 tackles as an outside linebacker and is the midst of a state playoff run in Georgia.

Ty Sims, Defensive Back

Gadsden City HS (Gadsden, Ala.)

Sims had 50 tackles with seven for a loss and two interceptions while scoring four offensive touchdowns. He blocked five kicks on the year.

Andrevius Smith, Tight End

Dale County HS (Midland City, Ala.)

Smith had 2,402 total yards in his career and is a three-star prospect.
