Jaedon Harmon injury status update: What to know about Tennessee football linebacker

Tennessee linebacker Jaedon Harmon is out for the season after tearing the ACL in his right knee at practice on Aug. 8, Knox News confirmed.

Harmon, a sophomore, had 19 total tackles and half a sack last season.

Harmon showed promise as a freshman. He was competing for playing time in a deep linebacking corps.

Arion Carter, an All-SEC performer, returns. But he must serve a two-game suspension issued by the NCAA. He led the SEC with 7.6 tackles per game in 2025.

Edwin Spillman and Jeremiah Telander were among the SEC’s top tacklers last season, recording 81 and 80 tackles, respectively.

Penn State transfer Amare Campbell had 103 tackles last season. And he has experience in UT defensive coordinator Jim Knowles’ defense from their time together at Penn State.

Former four-star recruit Jadon Perlotte return after playing a lot as freshman.
