Jayden Maiava may not be viewed as the best quarterback in the Big Ten by most analysts, but when it comes to college fantasy football, Maiava's potential may exceed his counterparts. Maiava's numbers were right alongside quarterbacks who were viewed higher than him in the Big Ten. However, the offense Jayden Maiava was facilitating was noticeable to the people who chart statistics.

In a recent college football fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks, Eric Froton highlights USC starting quarterback Jayden Maiava as the 9th-best option for fantasy this season. Maiava comes in on the list as the top quarterback in his conference.

The Trojans' offense was 6th in the country in yards per game with 465.9, and was 4th in the country in yards per play with 7.1. The Trojans' offense was a big play waiting to happen consistently. His gunslinging mindset and his aggression will always have the Trojans in position to put up big offensive numbers. With his production game by game, and with the potential he can post in fantasy football, Jayden Maiava honestly should be higher on this list.

Jayden Maiava lost some talent on offense, but he enters the season with a more well-rounded group of weapons. He will have no issues getting the ball to playmakers. Maiava will be in his second season as a starter now with Riley at the helm. I expect him to have an even bigger season than last year.

Even with Maiva being a player who would be a steal in fantasy football, he still remains underrated and undervalued. If he has the same season as last year, he would be one of the top-scoring quarterbacks in fantasy football. Maiava is definitely a quarterback to keep an eye out for when it is time to draft.
