The Buckeyes flipped recruit Legend Bey earlier in the day, but the evening of Nov. 10, it was a different Legend visiting the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Ohio State football shared on social media that singer-songwriter John Legend paid a visit to head coach Ryan Day, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and other members of the staff ahead of Legend’s concert at the Schottenstein Center, part of his “Get Lifted 20th Anniversary Tour.”
Legend, a Springfield, Ohio native, was seen conversing with Day, Patricia and other coaches throughout the athletic center in the photos.
Legend is on his ninth tour and is celebrating his new album “Get Lifted,” performing the album’s catalog in its entirety at his concerts. He is a big Ohio State fan, he told the Dispatch.

“Special Guest in Columbus stopped by the Woody,” read the caption on Ohio State football’s Instagram.
Legend posted a photo of himself in an Ohio State football sweatshirt on Jan. 20 when the Buckeyes won the national championship.
“O-H!” Legend wrote in the caption.
It is unknown if Legend stopped by to say hello to Ohio State men’s basketball coach Jake Diebler, but it’s clear Diebler is a fan.
“I plan on catching a few songs while doing a little film review,” Diebler said.
