Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin kept a calm demeanor when he was asked about a viral media moment from the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Dec. 12.
A video taken a day before the Heisman Trophy ceremony showed Sayin sitting at his media table with one reporter nearby. Next to him, eventual Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza had dozens of reporters gathered around him.
“It was funny,” Sayin said in the video (via Yahoo Sports). “I’m at a great school at Ohio State, they do a great job with media. Whoever comes over here, I’d love to talk to them.”
One of four finalists in Manhattan for the Heisman Trophy ceremony, Sayin finished fourth in the final voting for the award.

Despite losing to Mendoza in the Big Ten championship, Sayin and the Buckeyes can make a run in the 2025 College Football playoff, starting with the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
