The Alabama Crimson Tide will be heading on the road to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs this weekend, giving the team another chance to earn a win in SEC play.

Alabama has started the season 4-0, behind some strong play on both sides of the ball, giving thought to another potential spot in the College Football Playoff. But the Crimson Tide know that the schedule is about to get very tough, and this next stretch of games will define the year.

Starting with Mississippi State, the Crimson Tide have multiple games against ranked teams, offering them a chance to add to their overall resume. But this also could spell trouble for Alabama if they aren't careful entering the matchups.

After a few years of being toward the bottom, the Bulldogs are now 4-0 on the new season, being ranked No. 16. Mississippi State would love nothing more than to take down the Crimson Tide, continuing the complete turnaround of this program.

Ahead of the game, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer had some thoughts on the upcoming matchup with Mississippi State. The big challenge for the Crimson Tide will be the crowd noise while playing in a hostile environment in the SEC.

DeBoer said that crowd noise is something that the team has been trying to work through each week, and that they have to worry about it in the coming game. But the Alabama coach had faith in his staff and players to work through all issues that may come about.

For Alabama, making sure that they can clearly communicate plays and schemes during the game will be crucial. But the fans in Davis Wade Stadium aren't going to make it easy on them whatsoever, and if the Crimson Tide get off to a slow start, it could be a long game.

For DeBoer, his team has gotten off to a solid start, but the year means nothing if it doesn't end in a title win. All this program cares about is winning national championships, and that hasn't happened in a few years, leaving the fans a little restless.

The pressure is on DeBoer to win these types of games with Alabama, and he has already been discussed about being on the hot seat at times. If the Crimson Tide can take down the Bulldogs this weekend, it would at least give them some buffer for the remainder of the season, especially with games still left against Georgia, LSU, and others.
