During his weekly press conference Monday afternoon, Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer updated the status of starting left guard Kam Dewberry.

The Texas A&M transfer went down with an injury during Saturday night’s win against LSU, and would not play much during the game. According to DeBoer however, it appears Dewberry should be good to go against Oklahoma in Week 12.

“I expect Kam to be ready to go,” DeBoer said. “He got dinged up a little bit in the game, but he’s looking good. He might be early in the week held up some, but should be fine as the week goes on, as far as what I see right now and hear.”

Dewberry has been Alabama’s primary starter at left guard throughout the 2025 season. Should the senior go on to potentially miss time during the Oklahoma game, then William Sanders and Geno VanDeMark would be among the top candidates to see time at left guard.

The Crimson Tide and Sooners will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC this Saturday, Nov. 15 from Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
