Kansas State football adds standout safety to 2027 class

MANHATTAN — Julian Elzey, a three-star safety from Georgia, has committed to Kansas State football’s 2027 recruiting class.

Elzey, who plays his high school ball at Brookwood in Lilburn, Georgia, announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Monday, March 30. He chose the Wildcats over schools like Miami (Florida), Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Auburn and others.

Listed at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, the 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 644 overall player in the country and 63rd-best safety.

During his senior season, Elzey was named an all-county performer, totaling 81 tackles, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Elzey was on campus this past weekend, posting a photo of himself with K-State coach Collin Klein on social media. The Wildcats offered him on Jan. 22.

Elzey is the fourth player to commit to the Wildcats’ 2027 class.
