Kansas State Football Extends Offer To 2028 Class Tight End

Kansas State football starts in less than a month, with all attention turning to the 2026 season and the projected rebound from last year.

Still, it's good to check in on the potential prospects, even in the far future. The program offered another 2028 class player on Tuesday night, this time being tight end Sloan Blackwell. He currently attends Waco Midway High School in Waco, TX. Blackwell isn't ranked yet, but will likely be a three-star. He received his offer after a conversation with tight ends coach Brian Lepak.

Blackwell also received offers from Arizona, Syracuse, and Arizona State. Last season, he had 18 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns, per MaxPreps.

Kansas State has its tight ends pretty well established for next season, with veteran star Garrett Oakley and five-star sophomore Linkon Cure sharing the position.

Here are the other recent players to be offered by the Wildcats in the class:

Jerry Richmond, Offensive Lineman

The latest offensive lineman to be offered in the class was Jerry Richmond. He currently attends East St. Louis High School in East St. Louis, IL. Richmond has also received offers from Florida Atlantic, North Carolina, and South Dakota.

Asher Megonnell, Offensive Tackle

Kansas State offered offensive tackle Asher Megonnell on Friday. He currently attends Ankeny Centennial High School in Ankeny, IA. He also received an offer from Big 12 rival Iowa State. Megonnell is currently unranked.

AJ Criss, Tight End

AJ Criss, who currently attends Krum High School in Krum, TX, is a 6-foot-7, 205-pound tight end. Last season, he had 34 receptions for 574 yards and eight touchdowns. Criss also received offers from Florida State and Texas Tech. He's currently unranked but will likely be a three-star prospect.

Ronald Crawford, Defensive Lineman

Ronald Crawford currently attends De La Salle High School in New Orleans, LA. He's been offered by 15 other DI schools, including Auburn, Baylor, and Houston. Crawford is one of the highest-ranked defensive linemen in his class in the state of Louisiana.
