MANHATTAN — Amid the chaos brought on by the surprise retirement of Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman during early signing day, the Wildcats still managed to flip a recruit who was previously committed to Iowa State.
Kaprice Keith is Kansas State-bound, he announced on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Keith is considered a three-star athlete, according to the 247 Sports Composite, and is listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. He visited Manhattan for the Wildcats’ win over Colorado this past weekend.
Out of Bellevue West (Nebraska), Keith joined another singing day flip with Iowa Western Community College defensive tackle, committing to the Wildcats after previously pledging to Washington State.
Kansas State signed all of the players it expected to land during signing day. As of Wednesday afternoon, no recruit has backed out following the news of Klieman’s retirement. Texas A&M offensive coordinator and former K-State quarterback Collin Klein is expected to succeed Klieman.
