MANHATTAN — Kansas State football’s offseason defensive exodus continued with the reported departure of Chiddi Obiazor.
The edge rusher will enter the transfer portal, according to 247Sports’ Chris Hummer. Obiazor had 28 tackles and a pair of sacks in 2025.
Obiazor was a bright spot on the Wildcats’ defense, leading the Wildcats with 19 quarterback hurries and 30 total pressures as a sophomore.
He joins fellow pass-rushers Tobi Osunsanmi and Ryan Bates as probable departures. The defense is also set to lose Austin Romaine, Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder and Qua Moss.
Kansas State announced the hiring of former Texas A&M co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Jordan Peterson as its defensive coordinator on Dec. 21, replacing Joe Klanderman, who left to become the defensive coordinator at Baylor.
New Wildcats coach Collin Klein will have a lot of work to do when the portal opens on Jan. 2.
