Kansas State football vs Oklahoma State grades — Wildcats barely pass after ugly win

STILLWATER, OK — It wasn’t pretty, but Kansas State football got a win over a bad Oklahoma State team that it was expected to beat handily.

Kansas State won the game 14-6 on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The loss extended Oklahoma State’s Big 12 losing streak to 16 games.

The report card is one that Kansas State will probably want to hide from its parents when it gets off the bus, hoping a “Cs get degrees” excuse works well enough to avoid getting grounded.

Here are our grades from that showing:

The Wildcats made plays when they needed to, but they struggled significantly against one of the worst defenses in college football.

Oklahoma State moved the ball, but the Wildcats didn’t break. The five turnovers they caused bailed them out and helped them avoid disaster.

Kansas State football special teams vs Oklahoma State: C

Luis Rodriguez missed a long field goal, but the group didn’t make a monumental mistake.

Kansas State football coaching vs Oklahoma State: D

The Wildcats pulled off the win, but the coaching performance left much to be desired. The offensive play-calling was as frustrating as it has been all season, as was the Wildcats’ energy throughout the game.

Considering who the Wildcats were playing, you expected much more from them.
