Part of the Kentucky Wildcats football team landing more top recruits is that they then have to keep those recruits when other schools come calling. That will be put to the test soon with safety commit Tristin Hughes.

The Wildcats got a commitment from Hughes back in April. He chose Kentucky over Virginia Tech, Louisville, and others, but had offers from over two dozen schools. However, Louisville hasn't given up, and are back into the mix, according to Allen Trieu of Rivals.

This weekend, Hughes is scheduled to take an official visit to Louisville, and take in their game. The Cardinals will certainly make their pitch as to why he should flip his commitment to them.

Hughes is a 5'11", 190 lb safety out of Ohio. He is currently rated four stars by 247Sports, and ranks as their No. 247 overall player in the 2027 class.

Unfortunately, flipping recruits who have committed to other programs is a part of the modern college football world. Kentucky could become a victim in this case, but they're sure to work to do the same to another team. Fans will have to wait and see how this story plays out.
