Kentucky Wildcats News: Texas A&M Game Week

The 2026 season is underway for Kentucky Football as they were humbled by a 45-17 beatdown by No. 12 Alabama on Saturday, falling to 1-1 on the year.

After having the luxury of playing their first two games at home, the Wildcats will now hit the road and pay a visit to the No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies.

Kentucky’s loss to Alabama on Saturday created several questions, but none bigger than what will come of Kentucky’s passing attack and offense in general as the season moves on.

For the most part, things looked pretty “vanilla” against Youngstown State in week one, but absolutely nothing worked against Alabama. Not being able to move the chains and extend drives left the defense on the field for way too long, leading to Kentucky’s demise.

This past weekend, former Wildcat quarterback Cutter Boley and Arizona State made things interesting at A&M before the Aggies scored 24 unanswered in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Arizona State was able to move the ball, piling up 140 more yards than A&M. It was the offensive mistakes (two pick-sixes) and impressive play from the Aggies special teams that made all the difference.

Kentucky is going into the game as sizable underdogs, with ESPN’s Football Power Index giving them just a 6.5% chance to win. DraftKings Sportsbook has the game spread at -16.5 in favor of A&M, with the over/under set at 49.5 points.

Kickoff for Saturday’s contest is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET on ESPN.
