Keystone Heights announced the return of a familiar name to Clay County, hiring Cameron Porch as its head football coach on Dec. 17.
Porch replaces Steve Reynolds, who is not returning after Keystone’s 0-10 season. Reynolds had led the program for three years.
The new coach already has a track record in the county, leading Ridgeview from 2016-18. After a winless first season, Porch finished 6-4 at Ridgeview in 2017 and 5-5 in 2018, leaving in May 2019 for a defensive coordinator position at Berrien High School in Georgia.
From 2012 through 2014, Porch served as head coach at Bronson with a 13-17 record, improving each year (from 2-8 to 5-5 to 6-4) at a traditionally struggling program.
He also coached Mount Dora in 2020 and 2021, with records of 1-7 and 3-7, then moved to Trenton, where the Tigers finished 0-9 in 2022, 5-5 in 2023 and 5-8 in 2024 with an extended run to the semifinal of the Florida High School Athletic Association’s Rural B tournament.
Porch also brings a strong background as a weightlifting coach to Keystone, which regularly ranks among Florida’s best in the sport.
Keystone enters 2026 with a 16-game losing skid. After competing in District 5-2A with Bradford, Newberry, Palatka and Santa Fe in 2024 and 2025, Keystone is tentatively scheduled to enter District 4-2A against Bradford, Newberry and Ocala Trinity Catholic under FHSAA reclassification for 2026 and 2027.
