The Michigan Wolverines have a much-needed bye week before returning to the field to face Penn State next weekend. We now know the kickoff time for the upcoming matchup as Michigan will host Penn State on October 17 at 3:30 PM.

Even though the kick off time has been announced, the broadcast information is yet to be revealed and will be made public next week. The game is likely to be broadcast on Big Ten Network or CBS, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation.

Michigan is coming off a disastrous 20-14 loss at Minnesota, falling to 3-2 overall and 0-2 in BIg Ten play this season. Penn State is reeling as well, dropping to 3-2 and 0-2 in the Big Ten following a 34-13 loss at Northwestern last week.

The Wolverines and Nittany Lions played every year from 2013-2023, but the Big Ten rivals haven’t met since then so the upcoming reunion will be a must-see matchup for both fanbases. Michigan won the most recent meeting 24-15.

Dating back over three decades, Michigan first hosted Penn State in 1994. The Wolverines have a 9-4 all-time record against Penn State at Michigan Stadium, including a 4-1 mark in the last five home games against the Nittany Lions.

Both programs have a first-year head coach with Kyle Whittingham leading the way for Michigan and Matt Campbell manning the sideline for Penn State, so a win over a Big Ten rival would provide a significant jolt to the start of their tenure.
