The 6-foot-5, 325-pound interior lineman is not rated in the 247Sports Composite for the 2026 class. He has offers from Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky, UT Martin and Central Arkansas, among others.
He committed to the Vols after receiving a full offer on Jan. 17. They originally offered him as a preferred walk-on on Oct. 28.
"Tennessee is a hometown school that is around 15 minutes away from me," George-El told Knox News. "I felt a sense of belonging talking to the college staff. I landed on UT because it was the best fit for me. I really loved all of the facilities and love that the coaches showed. They're the first big school to believe in me."
George-El is the 28th commitment in Tennessee's 2026 class.
The Montreal, Quebec native came to Webb-Bell Buckle in 2024 after playing football for a few years in Canada. He then transferred to Catholic for the 2025 season.
George-El was a key piece of a Catholic offensive line that also featured Austin Peay signee Issiaga Yattara and Emory & Henry signee Jacob Rice. The Irish offense averaged 24 points per game with standout performances against Lipscomb and Silverdale, where it scored 42 points and 55 points.
"To all the kids that think their dreams are impossible and that they're being overlooked, just keep pushing, because I am a living testimony of it," he said. "If you keep working and put your head down, you'll end up where you deserve to be."
