Lane Kiffin calls out LSU’s first-half offense against Louisiana Tech

LSU’s offense had a first half to forget against Louisiana Tech on Saturday.

The Tigers’ offense only mustered 10 points against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and is only up 10-7 at the half. Quarterback Sam Leavitt was credited with a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

While Leavitt scored a rushing touchdown, he was dreadful through the air, throwing three interceptions in the first half, including one that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown. In total, the Tigers had four turnovers in the first two quarters.

Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin isn’t thrilled with his offense and made those thoughts clear going into the half.

“One side we’re playing great, the other side we’re not,” Kiffin said.

The Tigers haven’t lost to a team from Louisiana since 1982, and they want to keep it that way. But for that to happen, their offense needs to really wake up in the second half.

This game comes right before the Tigers’ trip to Oxford to play the Ole Miss Rebels next Saturday. Yes, that game is a big deal, but you still need to win the game in front of you before you can focus on the next one.
