Lane Kiffin and Joe Judge worked together at Ole Miss for the last two years and presumably taught each other quite a lot. But one thing Judge seems to have learned made his former boss cringe.
Speaking at a court hearing on Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss' NCAA eligibility, Judge admitted that he's told pregnant partners of football players that the would-be fathers have prioritize being players over parents.
“He needs to be in another room, detached… he ain’t waking up for midnight feedings," Judge said bluntly.
Kiffin took to X and outlined how embarrassed he was by simply reposting and sharing a "facepalm" emoji.
Joe. 🤦♂️ https://t.co/IKTfmK7cOq

Football fans across the country were mortified that someone would say something like that to a young football player and have been calling him out about it all day.
"Imagine thinking football is more important than your family," one user on X mocked.
"Get that (expletive) outta here, if he can 'perform' in the bedroom, he can perform dad duties in the middle of the night. It’s called mental toughness buddy," wrote another.
"Goofball messaging. I’m a father myself I’ll always prioritize my kids needs over anything else. On top of that the things a woman has to deal with post childbirth is far worse than being tired at practice," a third wrote.
Judge joined Ole Miss in 2024 as a senior analyst after two years of working with the New England Patriots and two prior years as head coach of the New York Giants. Kiffin promoted him to quarterbacks coach in 2025 but did not poach him for LSU at the end of this past season.
By the looks of it, Kiffin is pretty happy with his decision.
