New LSU football coach Lane Kiffin has his first commitment for the 2026 class, and it’s a flip from Ole Miss on the eve of early signing day.
JC Anderson, a four-star tight end, posted “God’s got me #GeaxTigers” as part of a repost from On3’s Hayes Fawcett announcing he had flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to LSU on Dec. 2.

Kiffin was introduced as LSU’s coach on Dec. 1, leaving Ole Miss near the end of his sixth season with the No. 5 Rebels (11-1) heading to the College Football Playoff.
Kiffin was replaced by Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding, who will be introduced on Dec. 3, which is also early signing day.
Anderson is the third decommitment from Ole Miss’ 2026 class since Kiffin left for LSU. Four-star receiver Corey Barber and three-star receiver Jameson Powell also have decommitted.
Anderson is a 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end who plays from Mt. Zion High School in Illinois. He is the No. 11 tight end overall in the 247Sports Composite rankings and the No. 7 player in Illinois.
He had been committed to Ole Miss since July 1.
Anderson’s flip leaves the Rebels with 17 commitments in the 2026 class. Ole Miss has dropped to 25th in the overall class rankings, which is 11th in SEC.
