LSU football coach Lane Kiffin is, uh, not the most popular man in Oxford these days.

After Kiffin bailed on Ole Miss for the LSU job as the Rebels were on the cusp of the 2025 College Football Playoff, he has become "Public Enemy No. 1" for Ole Miss fans and will be so for quite some time.

Kiffin tried to show some class for his former team after its first-round Tulane thumping at home on Saturday with a message on X (Twitter). However, anything Kiffin says about Ole Miss from here until eternity will land with a thud.

We get Kiffin wanting to be supportive of his former team, but he's just stuck now with messages like this falling flat. He bailed on Ole Miss for what he thought was a better job. That's just the reality of it. Even if we're sure some folks within the locker room appreciated the well wishes, hearing from Kiffin won't be at the top of anyone's list right now.

If Kiffin had stayed, he could have been the one getting congratulatory messages for a Tulane win. However, he's just in the sea of congrats as the coach who spurned his own team at the CFP altar.
