The transfer portal is open for one more day, and with that, some of those who are looking for new opportunities are inputting their names, hoping that a team will recognize their talent and come calling.

And with that, Michigan football has lost two more players to the portal — although somewhat unsurprisingly.

On Wednesday evening, quarterback Jake Garcia — who was thought to be done following his fifth year in college football — appears to be set to seek a sixth year, and it appears that he'll do so with a new team. CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer revealed that he's set to enter the transfer portal.

Garcia will be looking for his fifth school in six years. He started his career with the Miami Hurricanes before transferring to Missouri, East Carolina, and then Michigan. He did not attempt a pass at either Missouri or Michigan.

The other player who entered late Wednesday, early Thursday, was another transfer from last offseason who didn't end up seeing much time. Offensive lineman Lawrence Hattar transferred from Ferris State last offseason with the thought that he would compete for a job with the Wolverines, but with the summer arrival, it somewhat put him behind the eight-ball. He ended up playing 45 snaps — mostly on special teams — but now appears to be on his way out, as well.

For the most part, the Wolverines have kept the players they want in Kyle Whittingham's first attempt to assemble a team in Ann Arbor. However, there are still some holes to fill, including linebacker and defensive tackle.

Michigan did add players at both quarterback and offensive line via the portal, with Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi and Colin Hurley coming in at signal caller, and Houston Kaahaaiana-Torres joining the offensive front.
