LCA football's 4 star WR Brayden Allen decommits from Oklahoma

Just days before the early National Signing Day period for college football, one of the top wide receivers in Louisiana hailing from the 337 has had a change of heart.
Lafayette Christian Academy football’s four-star wide out Brayden Allen his decommitment from Oklahoma Sunday, Nov. 30, via his Instagram page. The two-way playmaker initially committed to the Sooners on Oct. 1 following his decommit from Tulane, who he was initially committed to on July 16, 2025.
Allen’s decommitment comes on the heels of LSU football hiring Lane Kiffin as its next head coach following the Tigers offering him on Nov. 15. According to WBRZ Sports post on X, Allen was one of several people spotted inside LSU football facilities on Nov. 30 while Kiffin was touring the facilities.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Allen has been a key weapon for LCA throughout its postseason run, currently still in the running for the LHSAA Select Division III state championship.
He is the No. 13 ranked wide receiver in Louisiana for the Class of 2026 and is the No. 60-ranked wide receiver nationally in his class. With his size, run-after-catch playmaking ability, and speed, Allen is a matchup problem for many team’s defenses.
So far this season, Allen has caught for 715 yards and 11 touchdowns on 42 catches serving as a lead pass catcher for the Knights. On the defensive side of the ball, Allen is a solid secondary defender as well. At the safety position, he has snagged a couple of interceptions and handfuls of tackles. Allen also has a role on LCA’s special team’s packages, returning a punt for a 71-yard touchdown during the regular season.
The early National Signing Day period is from Dec. 3-5 and the regular signing day period for college football is set for Feb. 4, 2025.
