The North Carolina Tar Heels, winners of two consecutive football games, test their winning streak Saturday with a 4:30 p.m. road kickoff against Wake Forest.
UNC (4-5, 2-3 ACC) withstood a late Stanford rally one week ago today, winning 20-15 behind a season-best 9-sack performance. North Carolina held the visiting Cardinal (3-7, 2-5 ACC) to three points through three quarters, before allowing 12 fourth-quarter points and one potential, game-winning drive.
The Tar Heels won their past four matchups against the Demon Deacons (6-3, 3-3 ACC), including last year's bowl-clinching, 31-24 victory inside Kenan Stadium. UNC and Wake play each other extremely close, though, with the past five matchups decide by one score.
The Deacs, riding high off last weekend's road upset of ranked Virginia, are led by star running back Demond Claiborne and a solid defense (325.3 yards allowed per game, 20.3 opponent PPG).

Can the Heels protect Gio?
Wake gets after the QB very well. If #UNC comes out today running a bunch of slow-developing pass plays, could be a wrap early on.
