It’s the final game of the 2025 season for Alabama State football (9-2, 7-1 SWAC). The Hornets are looking to get to 10 wins on the year, something they haven’t done since 2004, which is the last time they won the SWAC title game.

Alabama State will try do so against Division II opponent Tuskegee as apart of the 101st Turkey Day Classic at ASU Stadium on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27. The Turkey Day Classic is the longest running HBCU Classic and is sure to bring Hornet faithful out one last time to root for what’s been a special football season for Alabama State.

Te’Sean Smoot will close things out for the Hornets at quarterback, looking for his fourth-straight win to close out the season undefeated as a starter.

It’s been the best year of Alabama State coach Eddie Robinson Jr.’s four-year tenure with the Hornets and despite missing the SWAC title game, Robinson believes it was a successful 2025 season.
