BATON ROUGE — Lane Kiffin has made waves since his arrival as LSU football’s new head coach. And now, he’ll get to headline one of Mardi Gras’ biggest parades.
Kiffin will join musical artists Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton as Co-Grand Marshals of 2026 Endymion parade in New Orleans, according to multiple reports. Endymion Captain Dan Kelly announced Kiffin’s selection at the krewe’s Coronation Ball.
Endymion is the second-largest annual Mardi Gras parade that rolls through New Orleans. The parade is set for the Saturday before Mardi Gras on Valentine Day’s, Feb. 14, this year.
Mardi Gras historian Arthur Hardy will also be one the co-grand marshals for the Endymion parade.
Shelton and Stefani are slate to provide entertainment during the festivities. In the past, Endymion has had celebrities such as Britney Spears, Flo Rida and others make appearances.
Since his hiring, Kiffin and his coaching staff have landed college football’s top transfer portal class, after signing 41 players from the portal. That’s the largest transfer portal class the LSU program has brought in during the portal era.
