LSU football bolstered its defensive line Thursday with a commitment out of the transfer portal. Per a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett, defensive end Jaylen Brown is headed to Baton Rouge.

Brown spent one season at Missouri before going to South Carolina in 2025. He suffered a right knee injury during spring workouts that required surgery and sidelined him for the entire season. During his sole season with the Tigers, he made two tackles in five appearances.

Hailing from Madison, AL, Brown stands at six-foot-five and 265 pounds. He has three years of eligibility remaining and will take them to his third SEC school. Under defensive coordinator Bake Baker, Brown will look to add juice to a unit that is replacing significant production at defensive end.

Coming out of high school, Brown drew a four-star rating from Rivals' Industry Rankings. He was ranked No. 32 at his position and No. 18 out of Alabama.
