LSU football kept the good news rolling on Saturday morning, picking up another high-profile transfer portal commit. Former Ole Miss linebacker TJ Dottery committed to the Tigers, becoming another Rebel to follow head coach Lane Kiffin to LSU.
Dottery began his career at Clemson before spending the last three seasons at Ole Miss. In 2025, Dottery ranked seventh among SEC linebackers in stops, according to PFF. He added 12 pressures and a sack while forcing two fumbles.
Dottery brings a wealth of experience to LSU’s linebacker room. He’s played over 1,700 snaps in his career, including 958 in 2025.
Most of Kiffin’s defensive staff remained in Oxford with Rebels head coach Pete Golding, but Kiffin’s brother, Chris Kiffin, made the move to LSU. Chris Kiffin will work with LBs, reuniting Dottery with a familiar face.

Linebacker wasn’t a position of need for LSU, but the Tigers are losing West Weeks and Harold Perkins. Two veterans who have played a lot of football. Now, LSU has two of the most experienced backers in the SEC with Whit Weeks and TJ Dottery. Younger players like Dahvon Keys and Tylen Singleton will compete for playing time, too.
