LSU football added one of the top 2027 recruits to its haul, beating Ole Miss for Jayden Anding. The No. 1 safety out of Louisiana committed to the Tigers on a Rivals live stream.
Anding was supposed to announce his college decision last week, but pushed the commitment back at the last minute. Both schools were likely getting their final NIL offers in and the four-star prospect needed more time to consider.
A native of Ruston, LA, Anding plays at Ruston High School and is the state's No. 11 player, according to Rivals' Industry Rankings. He is the No. 29 safety in the 2027 cycle and gives LSU five commitments out of the top 15 players hailing from Louisiana.

Head coach Lane Kiffin took on his former school and won, adding another top prospect to his first signing class at LSU. The Tigers rank No. 10 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC, according to Rivals' Industry Rankings, with 16 commitments.
Jayden Anding is the younger brother of current LSU defensive back Aidan Anding.
