LSU football gets timeline for return of tight end Trey'Dez Green

LSU football learned Trey'Dez Green's timeline for his return to the field from a lower-body injury. According to a CBS Sports report on Sunday, the Tigers expect to get their star tight end back for their game against Alabama on November 7.

Initial reports suggested Green could be out four to six weeks. LSU welcomes the Crimson Tide to Baton Rouge on November 7, which lines up with Sunday's news. Head coach Lane Kiffin and his team are scheduled to play one ranked matchup between now and then against Mississippi State.

Green's absence changes the way LSU prepares its offense. He blocks and threatens as a receiver through the middle and on the outside. His six-foot-seven stature makes him tough to bring down and often draws extra attention from opposing defenses.

The Tigers certainly want to get Green back as soon as possible and he is scheduled to return as they get into the thick of SEC play. They face three current top-25 opponents, starting with No. 7 Alabama, then No. 1 Texas, and No. 17 Tennessee.
