How Jordan Seaton fits with LSU football’s roster

It’s safe to pencil Seaton in as the starting left tackle for LSU a couple of months out of spring drills and several months out of preseason practice and the 2026 season. Seaton in an immediate and huge upgrade to what is already on the roster for the Tigers.

There’s a reason why Kiffin and his staff recruited Seaton hard for the last week-plus. The need and the caliber of talent Seaton adds makes him arguably the biggest and most critical transfer portal player added this window.

When did transfer portal close?

The NCAA transfer portal window closed Jan. 16. Players are no longer permitted to enter their name in the portal. However, those whose names were already in the transfer portal can still decide and sign with a new school after Jan. 16.
