The transfer portal exits continue to pile up for LSU football. This time, LSU freshman linebacker Jaiden Braker entered the portal.

Braker spent one year at LSU after signing as part of the 2025 recruiting class. The four-star linebacker from Georgia was considered a top-10 linebacker in the class and a top-150 player overall.

Braker earned defensive snaps in just one game for the Tigers, playing seven snaps vs. SE Louisiana. Braker played a bigger role on LSU's special teams units, where he appeared in five games. Braker played 24 snaps on LSU's kickoff coverage unit in 2025.

Braker is talented, but this isn't a big loss for LSU. Blake Baker's linebacker room remains deep, especially with the return of star Whit Weeks. The Tigers have a crop of talented young linebackers, too, many of whom are returning in 2026.

Braker has several years of eligibility remaining and should be an attractive addition for another Power Four school.

South Carolina was involved in Braker's recruitment out of high school. We'll see if the Gamecocks make another run at Braker a year later.
