Safety Jacob Bradford is the latest LSU football player to enter the transfer portal, according to a report from 247Sports and CBS Sports on Monday.

As a true freshman in 2025, Bradford played in five games. He played in three nonconference games in addition to the contests against Oklahoma and the Texas Bowl against Houston.

Bradford, a Baton Rouge native, attended Catholic High School. He signed with his hometown school as a four-star prospect, per Rivals' Industry Rankings, after originally committing to Houston. He was the No. 19 safety and the No. 10 player out of the 2025 signing class.

Despite being one of the best players in the recruiting hotbed state of Louisiana, Bradford struggled to find playing time as a true freshman. His departure adds to a growing depth problem in the defensive back room.

When Lane Kiffin took the head coaching job at LSU, he retained defensive coordinator Blake Baker and safeties coach Jake Olsen.
