LSU football makes top six for elite Florida wide receiver recruit

LSU football is contending for a blue-chip wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class. Ellis Pearl, from Port Charlotte, Florida, included LSU in his top six. LSU was joined by Florida, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida State. Pearl’s top six was reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett earlier this week.
Rivals Industry Ranking’s slot Pearl as the No. 17-ranked wide receiver in the class. He’s a top-100 overall recruit and the No. 11 recruit in the state of Florida. Rivals is the highest on Pearl, ranking him as the No. 9-wide receiver in the class.
LSU’s 2027 class ranks No. 8 nationally. LSU has only five commits, but two are five-star recruits: tight end Ahmad Hudson and defensive lineman Jaiden Bryant. LSU’s average recruit rating is 93.11, which is one of the best marks in the country.

Lane Kiffin took the LSU job for a better opportunity at landing elite talent. Kiffin has lived up to expectations so far, and the Tigers hope to sign the No. 1 overall class in 2027.
