LSU football making push for elite safety recruit with official visit

LSU football will host 2027 defensive back Adryan Cole for an official visit this weekend, per 247Sports. He is one of several top prospects heading to Baton Rouge to spend time with head coach Lane Kiffin and staff.
Rivals’ Industry Rankings slots Cole at No. 16 among safeties in the 2027 cycle. He is the No. 21 player out of Georgia, where he attends Douglas County High School. 247Sports is the highest on Cole, ranking him the No. 15 safety in the class.
LSU churned out several NFL-ready defensive backs in recent years, the most recent being Mansoor Delane, who was drafted No. 6 overall after a standout senior year in Baton Rouge. Safety AJ Haulcy went in the third round to the Indianapolis Colts.

Cole would be the first defensive back commitment to LSU in the 2027 cycle. Its only defensive player right now is edge Jaiden Bryant. The class currently ranks No. 10 overall and No. 4 in the SEC, according to Rivals’ Industry Rankings, with five commitments.
