In the third quarter of LSU football’s game against Alabama on Saturday night, Tigers wide receiver Nic Anderson went into the medical tent with a right knee injury.
Anderson needed to be helped off the field, leaning on the shoulders of trainers as he entered the medical tent. After leaving the tent, he was in visible pain and went back to the locker room on the injury cart. He was later ruled out due to this knee injury.
Anderson had shown potential early in his college career, racking up nearly 800 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman at Oklahoma. Since then, though, he’s been battling injuries: a quadricep injury limited him to one game in 2024.
After transferring to LSU prior to the 2025 season, he’s been a solid contributor for the Tigers, albeit in limited reps. Playing in every game this season, he caught 10 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
LSU trails Alabama, 17-6, in the third quarter.
