Ole Miss true freshman transfer offensive lineman Devin Harper has committed to LSU football for the 2026 season, according to On3. Harper is the 80th-overall prospect in the portal and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman, according to 247Sports.

A Louisiana native, Harper was committed to LSU for much of his high school recruitment, but flipped to Ole Miss shortly before National Signing Day. Now, he’s returning to his home state.

His return to Louisiana isn't the only reunion for Harper, either; he’s reuniting with his former offensive coordinator, Charlie Weis Jr.

Weis spoke very highly of Harper last offseason, telling On3’s Ben Garrett that he is “probably the most talented true freshman lineman” Weis had seen during his time in Oxford.

“For a true freshman, he plays extremely hard,” Weis explained. “He’s extremely talented. Very athletic. So, those are the things that, number one, stand out.”

Despite that high praise in the preseason, Harper was unable to take over the starting role in 2025. He appeared in six contests, logging 72 offensive snaps. In his limited playing time, Harper earned a 67.0 PFF run-blocking grade and an 82.3 pass-blocking grade.

Harper is LSU’s second offensive lineman signing of the day, joining former Baylor offensive tackle Sean Thompkins in Baton Rouge.
