LSU football's Harold Perkins leaves WKU game with hip injury

Late in the third quarter of LSU football's game against Western Kentucky, the Tigers suffered another blow to their defense.

After making a tackle, senior linebacker Harold Perkins went down with an injury and was slow to get up. He had to be helped off the field and into the blue medical tent on the sideline. The SEC Network broadcast said the injury was a hip pointer.

Perkins has shown plenty of potential throughout his college career, being named an All-SEC performer in both 2022 and 2023. His junior year was cut short due to a torn ACL, but he returned to form this season as he racked up 48 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions entering Saturday.
