It didn't take long for Lane Kiffin to put his stamp on the LSU football program.
The Tigers added 40 transfers in the No. 1-ranked portal class in college football this offseason, and perhaps the biggest of the bunch was Jordan Seaton. The former five-star from Colorado was the No. 1-ranked offensive tackle in the transfer portal, and landing him was not a cheap endeavor for the Tigers.
According to CBS Sports' Chris Hummer, industry sources believe Seaton's deal at LSU ultimately landed at more than $4 million for the 2026 season. Per Hummer, Seaton's camp also asked for additional incentives such as cars and real estate, though it's currently unclear if those requests were granted.

LSU was in a battle with Miami for Seaton's services, and though the Hurricanes are no strangers to offering lucrative transfer deals themselves, Kiffin's offer ultimately proved to be enough.
Though the Tigers are coming off a disappointing season, which led to coach Brian Kelly's firing, expectations are high in Year 1 as Kiffin boasts what will likely be among the most expensive rosters in the sport this fall.
