The back-and-forth between Ole Miss and LSU continues. After Princewill Umanmielen transferred from Ole Miss to LSU, the Rebels sued Umanmielen for breach of contract. Earlier this week, Umanmielen was served with court papers outside of the LSU facility.
Now, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry is weighing in on the fact that Umanmielen was served outside the team facility, taking to social media.
“The process server found Princewill in the LSU Football Ops parking lot. Keith Carter could have saved Ole Miss some money and waited until Saturday. He’ll be easy to find in the Ole Miss backfield often!” Landry posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Umanmielen initially signed a deal to stay with Ole Miss with Ole Miss in early January, but then entered the transfer portal on January 20 and signed with LSU the next day. That move, along with a similar move from offensive lineman Devin Harper, led Ole Miss to sue the two players in a breach-of-contract suit.
Umanmielen will be looking to spend plenty of time hitting his former teammates Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy in the backfield. This year, he also had five sacks and 6.5 tackles for a loss on the season. When playing for Ole Miss in 2025, he had nine sacks and 13 tackles for a loss.
The LSU defense is going to have to be at its best on Saturday. Not only is the Ole Miss offense potent, but the Tigers’ offense could be missing a major piece. Quarterback Sam Leavitt is doubtful for LSU against Ole Miss.
