The LSU Tigers appear to be on the verge of landing an elite in-state four-star recruit.

According to On3, 2027 four-star safety Jayden Anding is “trending” toward LSU.

Anding, 5-foot-10/165 pounds from Ruston, LA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 11 safety in the nation and the No. 7 player in the state of Louisiana. He’s also rated as the No. 135 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

On3’s Keegan Pope noted this week that three of On3’s recruiting analysts have logged a prediction for LSU to land Anding.

“Oklahoma recruiting insider Josh McCuistion logged a pick for LSU to win out (for Anding), joining earlier picks from last fall by Rivals national analysts Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman,” wrote Pope.

Jayden Anding already has a connection to LSU

It’s not a big surprise that LSU is predicted to land Anding. For one, he’s an in-state recruit that the Tigers are high on — LSU rarely loses those recruiting battles.

Secondly, Anding’s older brother, Aidan Anding, signed with LSU during the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Aidan, a former four-star cornerback, played in eight games for the Tigers as a true freshman last season.

LSU currently has two players committed to its 2027 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 33 in the nation.
