Massive 4-star prospect visiting Michigan State for game against EMU

Michigan State is gearing up to play Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon in East Lansing, with the Spartans aiming for a 2-0 start in the Pat Fitzgerald era of MSU football. While the football being played on the field matters most, the recruiting battle that the Spartans are attempting to win is going to take a lot of attention away from the field.

Michigan State is currently hosting Gideon Gash, a 4-star prospect currently committed to Texas Tech. Gash, the brother of current Spartans Caleb and Samson, is a standout at Novi Catholic Central, and is currently ranked No. 53 in the country and No. 3 in the state of Michigan according to 247Sports.

A 6-foot-4, 205-pound athlete, Gash most likely projects to being a safety in college, although linebacker could be an option. The Spartans, who were considered favorites at one time, are eyeing a flip of the big time prospect, being a team that is desperate for a headliner in the 2027 recruiting class.
