Will Stein and the Kentucky Football staff landed the fourth commitment of their 2027 class on Saturday afternoon after Matthias Burell announced his commitment.

A 6-foot-4, 320-pound offensive lineman from Columbus, Ohio, Burrell has a great relationship with Kentucky assistant offensive line coach Dallas Warmack, who played with Burell’s brother in high school.

Burrell, who does not yet have a recruiting evaluation at any of the major outlets, committed to Kentucky after taking several visits to Lexington. He also had taken various visits to some other major Power 4 schools, including Louisville, Cincinnati, Indiana, Virginia, and Michigan, among others. Burrell has been highly sought after on the recruiting trail.

Burrell’s older brother, Matthew, was a 4-star recruit in 2015 as he was coming out of high school and committed to Ohio State. He played in 25 games for the Buckeyes across two seasons, where he later transferred to Sam Houston State to finish out his college career.
